San Ramón has a wonderful new place to eat out, Musashi Restaurante Japonés.
We've been watching and waiting to see what would move into the old Finatex store across the street from BCR (Banco de Costa Rica) for some time now. Don't quote me on it but I think construction and rennovations took over a year.
After reading posts on Facebook by several expats and talking to a few who discovered the new restaurant was indeed open and worth a visit we decided to do a drive by and see if Musashi was opened on Sunday. One never knows on a Sunday. Honestly, we were a bit surprised to see it open.
Unfortunately, Anis & Ginger Mercadito was not. Anis, a gourmet shop opened around the first of the year in another part of town. I was sad to find Anis closed one day when I drove into town. We got the story yesterday. In a nutshell, the owners of the restaurant and the gourmet shop joined efforts to fulfill childhood dreams. Cool story, nice people. Really nice people! I'm looking forward to visiting the store this week.
Not being a sushi eater I was wondering what I'd find to eat. The salmon salad was a no brainer.
With the ginger dressing they brought out... PERFECT Sunday afternoon meal!
Hubby opted for two different types of sushi, believe tuna and salmon. He enjoyed them both. While I tasted and liked them both I'll leave the sushi to him.
When we arrived at the restaurant friends were there finishing their meal. One of them was eating what looked like a delicious dessert. On their suggestion we got one to share.
We'll be going back to Musashi again soon.
