Since our road trip last weekend was about the journey and not the destination we made a few stops along the way. One of those stops was at a roadside store selling souvenirs and recycled crafts.
I haven't spent much time in the craft room this year. After seeing all the wonderful creations of Erian Herrara made out of milk jugs and water bottles among other things I'm feeling inspired.
We see toucans and parrots made from old tires all around the country but I'd never seen an iguana before.
The creepy crawlies were adorable.
This silly coconut head was the first thing to capture my attention.
I won't be making one of those but I plan to pull out my paints and start cutting up some of the gallon milk jugs we've got in the recycling bag to make some planters like the ones below.
