Life is full of moments to be cherished, pondered and enjoyed. I was lucky enough to experience one of those moments yesterday. Well, actually several when I think back on my day but this one in particular I was able to photograph.
I saw this beautiful rainbow while passing by a window in the front of the house. I'd gone to the front room to have Bill check out the soft rain that seemed like falling snow. It was a cool afternoon. There were rain flurrys, fierce winds, sunshine and yes rainbows all at the same time. Mother nature is awesome!
The rainy season has begun to transition into the dry season but it's not quite finished yet. One day it's absolutely beautiful, sunny and warm. The next we've got fierce winds and by afternoon it's down right cold. Today, I'm washing all the heavier blankets we've stored since last summer. Time to get them washed and ready to go on the beds.
This cooler, sweatshirt weather always makes it easier for me when I ask Bill to get the Christmas tree out of the attic. Hard to deny the holiday season is here when the Christmas winds have arrived.
To those who think it may be too soon for the tree, remember Costa Rica does not celebrate Thanksgiving. In the states there are holidays just about every month of the year. Here, it just isn't so. Our last big celebration was Independence day back in September. It's about time for a holiday!!! Besides, if we decorate in November we get to enjoy it all of December.
