People are always curious as to why we chose to move to Costa Rica. Yesterday we experienced a perfect example of why.
While driving home from Alajuela through La Garita a car suddenly stopped in the middle of the road. Bill could see his left tail light blinking and was about to remark about there not being a place to turn left when the man jumped out of his car, (now causing a major traffic jam) walked around the front towards the passenger side and helped an old man coming from a near by restaurant cross the street and make it safely to the bus stop on the other side of the road. Once the man was safely across the gentleman got back in his car and left. We sat stunned and amazed for a moment before traffic moved again. Bill's comment was, " Someone raised that man right!". I saw tears welling in his eyes through the tears in mine.
