It's a cultural thing
The local dogs, street dogs don't know what to do with milkbones. It's really funny to see how they react when given one. Some won't even touch them. This cutie is a street dog but hangs out at a place we frequent. We know the dog. We long ago quit giving dog treats to the dogs in the park as they usually won't eat them.
After watching her friends with their treats she finally realized it was something it eat and slipped away to eat it in private. She sat for a good two or three minutes with it just hanging out of her mouth like this.
