Everything is for sale
It seems everything, every piece of land you see in Costa Rica is for sale. Everything has it's price and everyone is wanting to show what they have to sell. After living here nearly two years people are still stopping us in the grocery store and any other place you can think of to tell us of property they or one of their family members have for sale. We've kept the sellers at bay telling them we have our finca and aren't looking but the die hards insist we must know someone who is interested. It's useless telling them that we don't have a huge circle of North American friends anxious to purchase here. All North Americans know each other or didn't you know that? Where the rumors started that we have "lots" of North American friends moving here we'll never know. Nothing could be farther from the truth.
I've been feeling guilty lately as a friend, (a term I don't use lightly) asked me several months ago to help him sell a property and I've done nothing about it other than take pictures. He's even offered a great commission if I handle all the details, bring in a client and close the deal. Still, dangling dollars in front of me hasn't been a motivation. Real estate is a cut throat business and no place for an open, honest person like me. Never the less, I've created a website to post properties people ask me for help with. Instead of using my blog to post info about properties I've set up a new website.
Costa Rica Pieces of Paradise is my real estate website. General information will be posted about the properties. You'll need to contact me for detailed information if you're interested. Sometimes I'll refer you directly to the owner depending on what my relationship is with them. I am not going out searching for properties to list. I am not planning to work at selling real estate. I'd rather do my crafting. I'm merely providing a forum for locals who want to show their properties to a broader audience and trust me to help without trying to screw them. Be patient as the site is still in the development stage but the guilt is getting to me so I need to make it public.
The site will not promote developers or "American style" communities so please do not contact me and ask for ad space.
